Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Strings Attached was formed in 2024 by Paul Jenkins who had worked in education for over 20 years and also built up a professional porfolio as a writer. His plays have been performed across the country, from The Park Theatre in London, to the Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh and The Curve in Leicester. He has also been a finalist in a number of BBC radio and sitcom writing competitions. As a workshop leader he has taught from Year R students right up to post-graduate and professional actors in puppetry and visual theatre.

After being the headteacher of a comprehensive school for 8 years, alongside his professional work, he decided to 'choose life' and left his job and spent the following summer in the Czech Republic learning to carve and perform with their traditional marionettes, performing at the international Leni Letna Festival.

On return, Paul decided that puppets were his future and he embarked on further training with Little Angel Theatre in London and began designing and carving the puppets for 'The Emperor's New Clothes'.
